Hello, dear readers,

My interest is in the model and its limitless possibilities!

Not only cargoes are a big issue with me. I want my customers are always able to offer something exclusive and unique! So it is really exemplary models of each unique character.

Here I would like my readers to imagine the building "brick Dröge" as a model that was copied from authentic ceramic bricks in 1:87 scale. The order number of the bricks for this is the way 100 211 and is available in the shop!

Information about the original:
The building was in 1859 by architect Frederick Dröge in place Stemwede (NRW) was established. When Frederick died Dröge, took over the business his wife Marie. She later gave the brick to the son of Frederick Dröge, Jr., born in 1874th This equipped the facility at 1903 on steam operation. The production of bricks, tiles and drain pipes was eventually discontinued in 1975. With the son Henry Brown found himself the last owner. The land was neglected and the building collapsed. In June 2008, began the demolition of the brick.

Now I would like to present the construction of the brick in the model and present.

I hope you enjoy reading (and perhaps even the reverse engineering!).

For the construction of needed tools:
-pencil
-Cutter Knife
-Cotton swabs (Q-Tip)
-Slide pin
-Containers for liquid
-Set Square
-ruler
-needles
-brush
-tweezers
-scissors
-Sandpaper
-Cutting surface
-scalpel
-Cloth (tea towel)

For the construction
materials used:

-brown color (dispersion)
-resistant ceramic tiles (100 211 available in the shop)
-Joint material
-green pigment (oxide green dull medium)
-Wood strips 1 mm x 1 mm
-Wood strips 2 mm x 1 mm
-Wood strips 2 mm x 2 mm
-Wood glue
-PVC profiles
-0.3 mm polystyrene
-silver
-water

After determining the first degree on the basis of photographs, I started it on a 0.3 mm Polystorlplatte transfer!

After transferring the dimensions, I started with the set of miniature bricks, for this I used the joint material.

I work at the beginning gradually before me, is why the wood paneling and always has been moved to Section Weis.

Since the polystyrene plate at the end is gone, I have the windows cut out piece by piece and worked.

The wood processing, such as the aging of the wood, later in the report are explained in more detail.

Fixes the wall parts with needles in polystyrene block.

As you can see, has already begun with the other wall, all I'll be right.

So now
we come to shape the wood paneling.

I'm stuck now Holzleiten 1 mm x 2 mm in two transverse strips of wood 2 mm x 2 mm with a wood glue.

The still rough wooden slats I colored with a brown paint, and took it with a damp cloth again.

After drying, I began the process drybrush (almost dry brush) to create the slight weathering effect with silver paint.

Then
I obtained a green pigment (oxide green dull medium) a mossy effect on the wooden slats.
To process one takes a broad bristle brush that is dipped into the dry pigment is then to highlight the desired location.

After the first rehearsal with a Styrofoam body, the curiosity was getting bigger, as it wanted to look like when the building would be independent!
So I began the supports of the building including the roof structure to produce.

With wood paneling ...

Color-treated and aged.

Control by state sample, here are tailored with Styrofoam blocks.

Assembly of the building framework.

In order to stiffen the building even more to build, I mounted the rafters before (the assembly of the interior, was the side from the top and bottom without any problems)!

Plummeted since the roof is the original, I put it on too!

Now, on to the intermediate wall and a small manual for proper installation of the brick

1.The tiles are mounted on a support plate.

2.Second Brick sand (if necessary to grind out imperfections).

3.Third Now begins the grout with the grout.
Please have no fears in the application, the bricks have a very high resistance!

4. Take several Q-tips (wet) and depending on the desired effect of the grout again.

5. Allow to dry.

6. After drying, you can solve the brick wall of the mounting plate and fix the building.

The windows were installed, as in the original milk in glass optics and damaged.

The
interiors have been more complete.

The roof structure is created as the original wooden beams.

Here is the first photo of the loose miniature ceramic tiles (coming soon in the shop under the order 100 212 available)!

Aged with pigments.

The time required for the assembly of the individual is rewarded by a truly unbeatable tiles look real!

Preparation of the second long outer wall.
The upper structure was completed from real wood slats and aged with pigments!

Manufacture of roof rack for the page layout.

Assembly of more stable side-mounted
